

Ross Simmonds
Director

Ross is based at Taylor Fry’s Wellington office, where he began in 2016. He has more than 20 years of actuarial experience in general insurance, across pricing, reserving, strategy and analytics.
Ross is President of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries, and leads the external actuarial liabilities valuation of New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation. He has developed pricing and natural perils models, undertaken competitor monitoring, and strategic portfolio reviews, and helped design new products and insurance offerings.
Before joining us, Ross led the personal lines pricing team for IAG NZ. He also held Appointed Actuary roles, and consulted with PwC and Aon Consulting in London, Auckland and Wellington.
